Change management at Flow accelerates ROI

Flow International is a leader in the development and manufacture of ultrahigh-pressure water jet technology and in robotics equipment. When the time came for the organization to make some internal adjustments to increase their revenue and overall success, Touch was presented with the opportunity to design the framework for a new ERP solution, and manage the migration to a new business strategy.

The 2008 recession hit the manufacturing industry extremely hard. And for many companies, including Flow, it was no longer enough to increase operational efficiency and reduce operating costs, the need to accelerate profits was crucial.

In order to make the changes necessary to increase Flow’s revenue, Touch studied the inner workings of the organization to analyze what could be done differently. We found the organization’s existing plan made it difficult for employees to communicate with each other. Addressing this issue resulted in incredible support and program adoption from the staff. Ultimately, this became a major driver of the project’s success. Flow replaced over 200 different information management systems company wide, with Touch guiding the company and its employees through the changes.

The framework Touch created, implemented and managed allowed Flow to reduce their operational costs, increase their efficiency, and enhance their internal communications. We also coordinated all scheduling, logistics, and planning for a road show involving 15 presenters traveling to three sites. Through this road show, we were able to engage with over 800 participants across Europe and the United States.

Touch’s program allowed Flow to achieve all of its goals for the implementation. The company continues to use this plan today and their success is growing as a result of their corporate efficiency and increased company-wide communication.
