Research Sparks – Post Secondary Success Strategy Convening

CONTEXT
As a reflection of the critical role that research plays in improving outcomes, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Postsecondary Success team wanted to bring together a focused group of research and evaluation partners working independently to explore, share, and discuss the important equity and institutional transformation work underway on campuses across the country.

OUR APPROACH
The Touch strategy and design team worked with the Postsecondary Success team leaders to develop a three-day event designed to foster deep discussion of research and learnings. From the name and theme to the full event experience, we kept the research focus top of mind—bringing it to life with a dimensional interactive data gallery featuring the work of attending organizations that inspired self-directed conversations and collaboration around data-driven opportunities for institutional transformation.

Our North Star across the event was highlighting valuable data about students, keeping the overarching target of our work central: first generation, low income, and students of color should all have access to affordable, high-quality credentials.
