E3 Conference

A legacy of creating positive press and stoking fan loyalty.

Before it was cancelled, the E3 conference in Los Angeles represented the single most important moment for the video game industry every year. Tens of thousands of video game developers, publishers, console makers, retailers, and of course, fans, descend on Los Angeles to hear directly from industry leaders about the games and innovations coming their way in the months and years to come. Additionally, the 1- to 2-hour press events, held on the days leading up to E3, provided a global stage and intense spotlight for the top developers and publishers to announce their plans to the world.

Touch first produced the Ubisoft E3 Conference in 2012, introducing comedy icon Aisha Tyler as the show’s host, and bringing the production values of the conference up to par with Sony, Microsoft, EA, and Nintendo, the company’s main competition for attention at E3.

Every year for nearly the next decade, our team worked to design a conference that helped the company define and achieve a clear set of targeted goals to help the company strengthen their global market position. All of the work was focused on increasing press coverage and global fan engagement and sharing the love and the passion for the games and the human experiences that the company has created for decades.

Our team works with Ubisoft to execute every aspect of the conference, from venue selection to stage design and production to content strategy and show flow development to media production, lighting design, logistics, executive speaker coaching and rehearsals, celebrity management, choreography, broadcast production, onsite production, and a complete, separately produced pre-show.

We also designed and produced an evolving experience for fans outside the venue in an adjacent backlot. With a central stage for the pre-show surrounded by gaming stations, food trucks, and influencer activations, attendees were treated to a live show open performance that begun outside and made its way to the main stage, along with a post-show e-sports competition.
